Read across a row rather than down a column - one row is a complete unit of work from competency to assessment indicator. Grade 12 teachers use it to plan the term; students use it to see exactly what the term is expected to cover.
At A/L the plan sets out a much wider span in one document - appreciation, practical work and design across two years - and it's worth treating as the single reference for how much weight each component carries, rather than relying on memory of what a teacher said in one lesson. Coming back to it partway through the two years is normal and useful, not a sign of having missed something the first time.
This is typically the year's longest and most content-dense term, so pacing through it steadily matters more here than in either of the other two.
Tip: if a lesson or reading-book chapter feels disconnected from the exam, check this plan first.
