Read across a row rather than down a column - one row is a complete unit of work from competency to assessment indicator. Grade 6 teachers use it to plan the term; students use it to see exactly what the term is expected to cover.
At Grade 6 and 7 the annual plan is really a map of the vocabulary and skills the rest of the syllabus assumes: colour, basic drawing, collage and the handful of cultural and religious traditions the lessons in this unit introduce. A parent or student reading it alongside the reading book can see exactly which unit each week's lesson belongs to, rather than experiencing the year as a list of disconnected topics.
This is the consolidation term - less new material, more drawing together and applying what the first two terms introduced, ahead of end-of-year assessment.
Tip: if a lesson or reading-book chapter feels disconnected from the exam, check this plan first - it's usually the row that explains why that lesson exists at all.
