Sigiriya, built under King Kashyapa in the 5th century CE, combines a fortified rock palace with one of Sri Lanka's most famous fresco cycles: the surviving paintings of bare-chested maidens, rendered in a naturalistic, fluid style using earth-based pigments, on a rock face pocket sheltered from direct weathering.
For appreciation questions, focus on describing technique and style specifically - the fluid line, the modelling of form through tonal shading rather than hard outline, the limited but confidently used palette - rather than only describing subject matter, since 'they show women' earns far less than a specific observation about how they're painted.
